August 20, 2004 - Another New Movie - "Dreamer"!

Dakota's heading off to horse trainer in Louisiana to prepare for yet another new movie, Dreamer. Plot: a Kentucky horse trainer (to be played by Kurt Russell) and his 11-year-old daughter (Dakota) rescue a horse with a broken leg, then nurse it back to health. They later race the horse in Breeder's Cup.

The true story involved a son instead of a daughter, but producers rewrote the part with Dakota in mind. It will be directed by John Gatins at Dreamworks Pictures. Kris Kristofferson will play the father of Russell's character, the daughter's grandfather. IMDB Page>>

August 16, 2004 - Dakota Rumored to be in "Conquistadora"

Dakota has apparently been cast in this movie, based on a true story. It's about Mary Samoza's struggle to get her twin daughters, Anastasia and Alba, who have cerebral palsy, into the New York City school system. When the school refused to educate the twins, Mary stepped up and defended their rights protected by United States laws. Dakota would play Anastasia, the more vocal twin. Who will play Alba has not been released. This looks like a remarkable story, so I hope Dakota will indeed be part of the movie. IMDB Page>>
